Valgart was inspired by the fact of living and dying every day, in the deterioration of the human body and the matter represented by the figurative, it resembles how the universe is formed while it deteriorates, the detachment of the matter of the body and the existence of the same with all its chemical and physical compounds evokes the detachment and the cycle of matter in the universe. In his collection MATTER, Valgart expresses and represents some of the chemical components that are part of the human body and in the rest of the matter such as Oxygen, Carbon, Hydrogen, Calcium, Phosphorus and Sulfur. These natural components were represented using the color palette of those mentioned components.
Technique Used
The original pieces were painted with oils and pigmented epoxy resin with 4-5 layers one on top of each other, creating a semi-translucent depth effect technique on a wooden panel on a size of 120 x 120 cm. The original painting titled "Materia Diluida" has a size of 120 x 240 cm, and acrylic paint was also used on this particular piece (Interested in acquiring the original work? Rommel Valgart is personally responsible for the reproduction of the work that he creates in his Art Studio, using only the best materials of Fine Arts.
